Some delegates of the New Patriotic party (NPP) in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency of the Ashanti Region are angry at the party executives, and the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Heckline Recline following a letter they have wrote to the Electoral Commission to change the election venue from Agona to Dome coming Saturday Parliamentary primaries.
They have therefore called on the regional leadership of the party to restrain Hon. Heckling Reckline from intervening in the constituency elections.
According to them, all the party internal elections was held at Agona, but they were shocked when the announcement came that the upcoming parliamentary primaries has been move from Agona to Dome.
Addressing the media, Mr. Lawrence Yeboah said the Constituency executives and the DCE just want to frustrates the delegates since they have to travel from far distance to Dome instead of Agona.
“This is disgusting, we must do things right because we cannot allow some few people to disintegrate our front and frustrate the election process for their selfish reasons and interest because if we allow that to happen then the NPP is going to bear the brunt” Mr Lawrence stated.
Mr Lawrence Yeboah says they have discovered anomalies in the proposed album for the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries.
He says, there are people who’s name has been added but are not eligible to cast their votes in the Constituency.
