In a resounding call for political integrity, the youth and traders of Tafo-Pankrono Constituency in the Ashanti Region have urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritize principles over monetary influences in the upcoming delegates conference.
The impassioned plea seeks to break the trend of delegates succumbing to financial inducements and external pressures during the election of party leaders, emphasizing the detrimental impact such practices have on the quality of elected representatives.
The collective voice of the Youth and Traders resonates with a shared concern for the future of Tafo-Pankrono Constituency, urging delegates to make informed decisions that transcend the allure of financial incentives.
Expressing their discontent with the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Vincent Ekow Asafua, the group emphasized their disappointment, citing unfulfilled promises made by the MP during the previous term.
“We are pleading with the delegates to vote for the right person for the good people of Tafo-Pankrono Constituency, as our current MP, Hon. Vincent Ekow Asafua, has failed us,” declared the group during a press conference with the media.
The youth and traders recounted their support for Asafua in the previous election cycle, a decision fueled by promises that, unfortunately, went unfulfilled.
Determined not to repeat the same mistake, they are fervently advocating for change in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries.
“Vote for Change, our future is shaky under our current MP. Bring a new face to this constituency,” appealed the impassioned group, underscoring the urgency of electing a representative who genuinely aligns with the aspirations and needs of the community.
