Check Bawumia’s Records Before Choosing His As Flagbearer For 2024 – Former MP Tells NPP

The former Member of Parliament of the Akwatia Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Baba Jamal has said that, the New Patriotic Party should assess the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s record before choosing him as their flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.

 

The Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen, has said he is the driver of the Mamprusi bus, in reference to his support for Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, one of the flag bearer hopefuls for the 2024 elections.

Reacting to the statement made by the NPP’s  Deputy General Secretary, Hon. Mohammed Baba Jamal , said he has no problem with the Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Obiri Boahen endorsing Dr. Bawumia yet the party as a whole should do well to choose someone competent as a candidate for the presidency but no a liar.

Hon Baba Jamel also added that , Nana Obiri Boahen shouldn’t be a driver of “Mamprusi liar” but a competent Mamprusi person.

He also said that, the government has not been fair to Ghanaians on the national cathedral by lying that state funds will not be used to fund the project yet doing otherwise.

He added that, the government’s appointment of board of trustees without state involvement proves that the project is not a national asset as stated.

He stressed that, no one is against the building of the cathedral but are fed up with the dishonesty and unaccountability by the government towards the project.
