Black Stars Dependable Defender Alexander Djiku Injured In A League Game Against Toulouse

Ghana Black Stars dependable defender, Alexander Djiku sustained a very painful injury in Strasbourg’s league fixture with Toulouse earlier this afternoon

The Blue and Whites held their opponents to a pulsating four goal thriller after drawing 2-2 with them at the Stade Municipal in round 12 of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1 and has featured in all their matches so far.

 

 

 

The unpleasant news for Ghana is that, center-back Alexander Djiku injured himself in the course of the game and was taken off on the 26th minute for Lucas Perrin to take his place.

The extent of his injury is yet to be determined with only 33 days left to the World Cup.

The 28 year old has been sensational and an integral member of the Black Stars since his debut and played a vital role in helping the Black Stars qualify to the Mundial.

Coach Otto Addo is expected to announce his provisional man squad for the World Cup in few days to come before it will be trimmed down to the final 26 before November 14, 2022.
