A/R: Independent Candidate Vows to unseat Agogo “Mugabe”.

In the heart of the Ashanti Region lies a constituency poised for change.

With the upcoming 2024 general elections on the horizon, the political landscape of Asante -Akyem North is undergoing a seismic shift as Mr. Ohene Kwame Frimpong, a prominent business tycoon, emerges as an Independent Parliamentary candidate.

In a fervent bid to unseat the longstanding representative, Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, Mr. Frimpong has ignited a wave of enthusiasm among electorates, rallying them behind his vision for a brighter future.

At a recent Health walk in Agogo forms, Mr. Frimpong articulated his commitment to ushering in a new era of development for the constituency.

“I pledge to leverage my position to lobby for essential developmental projects that will positively impact the lives of the constituents if elected to lead,” he declared passionately.

With a laser focus on addressing longstanding issues such as the deplorable state of roads, inadequate security measures, healthcare concerns, and poor planning for farmers, Mr. Frimpong has made it clear that the welfare of the constituency will be his topmost priority.

He emphasized his dedication to improving the lives of the people, particularly farmers and students, who form the backbone of the constituency.

“In recognition of Asante-Akyem North’s agricultural focus, I’ve engaged investors to bolster support for local farm produce, ensuring farmers’ efforts yield meaningful returns.

“The lamentable condition of our roads severely hampers farmers’ ability to transport goods to market—a dire situation I am determined to rectify.

“My mission is clear: to uplift farmers from the constraints of their current circumstances and pave the way for a prosperous future,” he added.

Central to Mr. Frimpong’s campaign is a direct challenge to the incumbent, Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, who has held the parliamentary seat for years.


Despite Kubi’s lengthy tenure, Mr. Frimpong highlighted the apparent lack of progress, citing persisting issues in infrastructure, security, and healthcare.

He emphasized the importance of electing leaders who are genuinely committed to serving the people rather than their own interests.

“I am accessible and present for all constituents. I will actively engage with them, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs addressed.

“They should vote for someone who is readily available and responsive, someone you can rely on to be there when you need them,” Mr. Frimpong emphasized.

Even before being elected, Mr. Frimpong has already begun to change lives in the constituency.
