Asante Kotoko scored in the final minute of added time to avoid a defeat against Great Olympics in their thrilling 1-1 Ghana Premier League matchday 11 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium.
No goals were scored in the first half of the game, despite the Porcupine Warriors having more possession of the ball.
Great Olympics, however, had the best opportunity of the half and came close to taking the lead thanks to Charles Owusu’s sloppy play.
The opening goal of the game was scored by the Dade boys just one minute into the second half. Abdul Bashiru sent a low shot past goalkeeper Frederick Asare from the edge of the box after controlling the ball on his chest.
Great Olympics came under increasing pressure from Asante Kotoko, who earned an equalizer in the tenth-minute of added time. Andrew Appau sprang high to head Enoch Morrison’s free kick into the goal.
