CAF Champions League: RC Kadiogo Vs Asante Kotoko First Leg Clash To Be Played In Ivory Coast

The Ghana Football Association have confirmed that Rail Club du Kadiogo and Asante Kotoko’s Champions League first leg clash will be played at the Stade Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast.

 

Asante Kotoko will travel to face RC Kadiogo in the first leg of the first round of the preliminary stages of the Champions League.

According to reports, CAF didn’t approve RC Kadiogo’s home venue, Stade de Kadiogo in Ouagadougou.

The 1st leg is expected to played on 9th to 11th September, and the reverse fixture on 16th to 18th of September.

 

Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League lat season with sixty-seven points, after eight years without winning the league.

 

Meanwhile, RC Kadiogo won the Brukina Faso league title in the 2021/22 season.

Asante Kotoko are currently in Sudan to continue their pre-season, with Al Hilal defeating the Porcupine Warriors in two friendly games so far.

Asante Kotoko is expected to face Tanzanian giants Simba SC on Sunday before wrapping up their pre-season trip with a friendly against an unnamed CAF Champions League opponent.
