Martin Koopman Sacked As Hearts of Oak Head Coach

Hearts of Oak have sacked Martin Koopman as their head coach after just three months in charge.

The Phobians managed to secure only two victories in ten matches this season, remaining without a win in five of their last six games.

The poor run has left them in 11th and two points above the relegation zone after week ten of the Ghana Premier League.

In a statement released by the club, his departure is part of a “plan to restructure the technical team” for the ongoing season.

Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak, have announced the appointment of assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru as their interim head coach.

The potential replacement of the Dutch trainer remains unclear but assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru will over the role in the interim before a substantive coach is hired.
