Land Thief, Corrupt, Extortionist, Blackmailer…..; See 28 Labels On Anas By Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Ghana has affirmed the labeling of Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas with over 28 negative tags.

The tags include fraud, blackmail, land theft, land guard, tax evasion, Extortion among a litany of labels. Anas Aremeyaw Anas had prayed the court to clear him of those labels after a high Court Judge uttered them against him.

Aremeyaw Anas filed the motion against the decision by the Accra High Court in a defamation case involving him and Assin Central Member of Parliament, Ken Agyepong.

Anas had proceeded to the Supreme court after the High Court presided over by Justice Eric Baah described him as a criminal and a blackmailer among others which Anas found offensive.

Anas told the Supreme Court if they don’t intervene, over 28 direct and indirect labels will reflect on him.

The Supreme after listening to him affirmed the labels.

Based on the petition of Anas, the plaintiff in the case, the following labels are confirmed on him:

Plaintiff is a self-confessed thief.
A murderer, and he killed a former member of parliament, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.
An abettor of the murder of several Chinese nationals.
An evil and dishonest person.
A thief.
The plaintiff is suffering from mental derangement
The plaintiff cheated his way through Law School
The plaintiff promotes illegal mining.
The plaintiff is a fraudster.
An extortionist.
The plaintiff is a blackmailer.
The plaintiff is corrupt.
The plaintiff corrupts public officials.
The plaintiff engages in tax evasion.
The plaintiff engages in custom duty evasion.
The (plaintiff) takes bribes to influence the outcome of his investigative journalistic work.
The plaintiff impersonates as a lawyer.
The plaintiff engages in criminal assault.
The plaintiff engages in threat of death.
The plaintiff engages in threat of harm.
The plaintiff is a land guard. The plaintiff engages in illegal land grabbing.
The plaintiff interferes with the administration of justice.
The plaintiff is an odious and contemptible person.
The plaintiff is a cheat.
The plaintiff molests children.
The plaintiff inordinately discredits foreign powers
The plaintiff terrorizes people.
The plaintiff engages in fraudulent acts and extortion with his lawyer
