The poor state of roads and accommodation in the offinso south municipality of the Ashanti Region remains a major challenge to teachers as this situation forces them to travel long distances on a daily basis to discharge their duties.
Teachers have said the unavailability of accommodation in the rural communities for them leaves them frustrated.
Fox Fm morning drive team visited one of this schools in the Municipality, Amanin M/A School, to observe the situations.
Places where teachers lay their heads were an eyesores.
The dilapidated house without windows thereby exposing the teachers to harsh weather conditions.
According to them they have complained it severally about trespass and thefts in the sleeping place because the rooms are without windows and it is pity whenever it is raining.
They therefore called on government and other philanthropist to come to their aid.
Some students at Nkasasu a community near Amanin said they also have to trek miles from their respective homes to school each day since there is no school at their community.
“We have to walk about an hour to either Amanin or Wroapong to have access to quality education.
According to them, they cannot go all day because the road to their schools are too far. They lamented.
