Students of Dambai College of education in the Oti Region on Monday embarked on a demonstration against the management of the school over what they consider to be the poor quality of food served at the dining hall.
The students, who protested in the school to express their displeasure, also complained about the quantity of food served.
They alleged that, they are served with porridge without sugar.
Students who spoke to Onua News on condition of anonymity explained that, “ they do not get enough food and the food served was of low quality.
According the students they resorted to embark on the demonstration because they have compelled to buy sugar after they’re served with the white porridge (mole koko) at the dinning hall.
“We have been complaining about the situation for a very long time but nothing has been done about it.
“We have complained about this issue many times, even our teachers are aware and at our meetings too we talk about it but no one is ready to do anything about it.”
The lighting system is very bad on campus.
School authorities are yet to formally respond to the students’ concerns.
