PROFILE
Hon. Dr. Samuel Okoe Amanquah is an indigene of Kpone, born in June, 1968. His father comes from the Sanshie Royal Clan and his mother from the Amane We Clan. Both parents are no more.
Education
He has an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership from the Novelty International Bible University, Ghana, Chartered Certificate in Loans and Risks Management from the Institute of Loans and Risks Management, Masters in Finance from Coventry University, UK, and a First (1st) Class Honours Degree in Accounting from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Youth Leader
He in the company of others formed the Kpone Youth Association in 1994, which worked closely with the chiefs and opinion leaders of the Kpone Traditional Area, resulting in the release of some parcels of land by the Tema Development Cooperation (TDC) to the Kpone Stool under the compulsorily acquired lands being manage by TDC.
Work
He has over twenty-five (25) years working experience, spanning from 1998 till date. Some of the companies he worked with include, Nestle Ghana Limited, a multinational food and beverage company, Tema Chapters Teachers Co-operative Credit Union (TCTNCCU), a Financial Institution and currently, Municipal Chief Executive of the Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly.
Politics
He has been a member of the New Patriotic Party and a grass root person since 1994. In 2004, He participated in the parliamentary primaries for the first time, and again in 2007 and became the Parliamentary Candidate in 2008 on the ticket of the N.p.p. He has been a grass root person since, 1994 and worked closely with successive Constituency Executives since year 2000. He is a dedicated and loyal party person and has contributed immensely towards the activities of the party over the years. Because of his commitment and dedication to the grassroots, he was appointed as the Deputy Campaign Manager for the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections. In September 17th, 2021, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana nominated him for the position of Municipal Chief Executive for the Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly; he was confirmed on the 30th of September, 2021 and officially assumed office 1st October, 2021. And since his assumption to office, he has been the major financier of all party programs within the Constituency.
Marriage and Religion
He is a Christian and married to Mrs. Grace Nuerkie Amanquah, also from Kpone and they are blessed with four (4) children.
He is the NPP”s best bet for 2024 Elections if the party must win the Parliamentary Seat for the first time in Thirty-Two (32) years.
