NPP’s Maxwell Aburiya ‘Fires’ Bolgatanga central MP Over Attack On Dr. Bawumia

Spread the love

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP’s)  constituency organiser for Bolgatanga central in the  Upper East Region, Mr. Maxwell Aburiya has called on the Member of parliament for the area, Hon. Isaac Adongo to rather use his Exeter energy to develop constituency instead of seeking attention at the national level in the name of getting appointment in the unlikely event the NDC forms the next government.
He says Mr Adongo can go ahead and debate his colleague Members of Parliament, not the Vice President of the republic,  Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
His comments come after Isaac Adongo dared Dr Bawumia for a debate on the economy, indicating that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful has contributed nothing in his six years in office.
Adongo had said the Vice President had moved from talking about the economy to singing the song of digitalisation, whose building blocks were laid by the NDC government.

In a press statement sighted by MyGhanaMedia.com, Mr. Maxwell Aburiya in response to the claims by the NDC lawmaker, said that “Dr. Bawumia will not lower himself to Isaac Adongo’s level let alone engaging you for a debate because, Dr. Bawumia is a global asset and an economic impactful icon. We are yet to witness a serninal work of you Isaac Adongo of the economy of Bolgatanga Central. Until that is manifested and with incontrovertible evidence, the blabbing MP is no match for the venerable Vice President”.

“What has Hon. Isaac Adongo done in his entire political life, whether at local or within the national arena? He should mention just one life-changing policy he proffered. Hon. Isaac Adongo is a record time worse performing MP in the history of the Bolgatanga Constituency and now Bolgatanga Central Constituency. As we can recall, the constituency prides itself in such hardworking former MPs like Akolbire Opam-Brown, David Apasara, Simon Abingya and Abakake Ayanlorikya. These were men of day and night, who worked very in the silence and trumped the lives of constituens around. It was the foundation they build which stood the test of time. They were men of deeds and their actions spoke louder than their words. They deemed essentially unfulfilled promises as cowardice.” he stated

A DEBATE WITH VEEP? THAT NON-PERFORMING AND  ATTENTION-SEEKING ISAAC ADONGO,  SHOULD FOCUS ON HIS FAILED PROMISES TO THE CHIEFS AND PEOPLE OF THE BOLGATANGA CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY INSTEAD

Bolgatanga central constituency organizer Maxwell Aburiya call on Hon. Isaac Adongo to rather use his Exeter energy to develop Bolga central instead of seeking attention at the National level in the name of getting appointment in the unlikely event the NDC forms the next government.

Dr. Until that is manifested and with incontrovertible evidence, the blabbing MP is no match for the venerable Vice President.

Under Nana Akufo-Addo led government and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his first class Vice President,  alot of life-touching government policies have been initiated and  successfully implemented for the betterment of Ghanaians. These policies are doing well in  such areas  as the issuance of a National ID card which his party, the NDC could not do;  one constituency one ambulance, the digitalization of the  NHIS card, which  is the brain child of the vice president enables citizens including he Isaac Adongo to sit comfortably in his home and can renew his NHIS card without any form of stress. Mention can also be made of the FREE SHS, TVET, Health Facilities across the country ànd of course the agenda 111 policy, massive constructions of roads  across the country, Interchanges,  massive recruitment across the country,  Mobile Money Interoperability System, and Implementation of National Digital Property Addresses System etc are part of the broad  Vision of H.E the Vice President.

What has Hon. They deemed essentially unfulfilled promises as cowardice.

Hon. Isaac Adongo is the direct opposite of the former MPs mentioned above. It will be recalled that  during the 2016 and 2020 general elections, Hon. Isaac Adongo made alot of promises to the good people of Bolgatanga Central Constituency which he could not even fulfill thirty (30%) of his own promises to his constituents.

Hon. Isaac Adongo promised some electoral areas in his constituency with some projects when given the nod to represent them as a Member of Ghana’s Parliament. He promised the people of Yorogo East an ultramodern  ICT center,  and as we are writing now,  not even a block in that area has been laid. This attitude is a clear manifestation of Mr. Adongo’s disregard for the Chiefs and people of the area.

The good people of Bolga Nyariga also face a similar situation of promise and failure and cannot wait to punish Hon. Isaac Adongo in the 2024 general elections. The reason being that the MP has deceived them big time. In the last election,Hon. Isaac Adongo told them at a meeting that when given the opportunity as an MP, he will build a craft-center for the women in that area and as it stands now not even a bag of cement has been brought for the project.

As that is not enough, he also promised his own community, Tindonsobligo, a source of portable drinking water and he failed in that regard. This is shameful. This project was however initiated and implemented by the kind hearted  Hon. Joseph Amiyuure, then MCE. This action by the MCE at the time was timely and indeed  saved the situation in the community. The  boreholes are doing well till date.

The list is un-eding but the people of Upper East must know. During 2016 elections, he again promised the people of Bolga Central that he will create an educational fund for brilliant but needy students to fast track their education. This Educational Fund undoubtedly is a good idea but the constituents are yet to see its realization,  we don’t have such an account let alone putting Ghc1 into that account. What does Hon. Isaac Adongo take us for? Don’t we deserve anything good as a people of the Constituency?

Again, Hon. Isaac Adongo promised three communities which constitute an electoral area that he will give them 12 bore-holes, thus,  4 boreholes for each community. This certainly is a positive note but as one who believes in just making promises, the people are yet to see a surveyor in their respective settlements for such a project to commerce. It’s pathetic!

From the above plethora of promises made to the good chiefs and people of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, It is now clear that, the Member of Parliament is not in that House of Representative to champion the course of Bolgatanga Central Constituency but rather with the intent to seek  attention for himself and grandkid’s style of aggrandizement.

As Constituency organizer and a true native of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, I am by this medium inviting our  Member Parliament to humble himself and come  debate his failed promises he made to the good people of Bolgatanga Central Constituency and stop using the name of the vice president to get his fame. I am reminding him to spend time also on completing his Doctoral program before asking for such a favour from the accomplished Vice President.

H. E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is ever ready to have a one on one debate with the incompetent former president John Mahama and not a Member of Parliament. If Hon. Isaac Adongo wants a debate, he can do that with his colleagues in parliament. Just organize one at the University of Professional Studies (UPS), invite Joshua Alabi as moderator and they’ll have field day.
