During an Editors Forum organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, announced an ambitious plan to revitalize the historic Osu Castle in Ghana.

The Osu Castle will be transformed into the “Presidential and Governance Museum,” curating the legacy of every president and government that has contributed to the nation’s history.

Dr. Awal’s vision for the Osu Castle transformation aims to turn it into a cultural attraction and source of historical significance. The plan involves modernizing the castle and putting busts of all former presidents, including colonial administrators, on display for tourists. This transformation aims to attract both domestic and international tourists, providing them with insights into Ghana’s history and governance structures.
