Chief of Staff Takes NPP Running Mate Lobby To ACI

Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare has reportedly taken her running mate lobbying activities to Action Chapel International (ACI).

The Chief of Staff who has refused to give up on her dream of partnering Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Running mate has started wooing churches and church leaders to brighten her chances.

The former Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament (MP) has lately been attending any and every Church program with handsome donations amidst the announcement of her presence with huge applause.

The latest host of the overambitious politician was the Action Chapel International led by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams at its 2023 edition of ‘Impact,’ the annual convention of the church.

The Chief of Staff made an undisclosed donation to the event and was officially acknowledged on the podium with applause on the 2nd Day of the Event.

According to the Church, the program is a platform for gaining knowledge, wisdom, spiritual direction and aligning with God’s purpose. As one of Ghana’s most anticipated Christian events, it serves as an annual spiritual milestone, providing a unique setting for transformative experiences distinct from regular worship services.

Akosua Frema Osei-Opare is reportedly being “strategic” to woo the church towards her cause as Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia would need not just an Ashanti but a strong Christian to complement him.

Two months ago, Mrs Osei-Opare stated that she is grateful to those projecting her as running mate to the NPP flagbearer.

Speaking to journalists at the NPP headquarters in Accra ahead of the polls which Bawumia later won, Madam Osei-Opare said that her focus was on the party electing a candidate who can win the 2024 election.

“Any name that comes up as a running mate disregards it, rather let’s lift him up first as flag bearer. I have not heard of any name for the running mate position.

“Wherever you’ve heard that I am the running mate, I thank them. But I’ve not heard that yet,” Madam Osei-Opare stated.

She continued: “If you don’t have a flag bearer, you don’t have a running mate. My focus is to get a good flag bearer who will ‘break the 8’. The will of God will manifest.”
