MP Donates Computers To Afigya Kwabre North Schools.

The Member of Parliament (Mp) for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah has donated a set of HP computers and accessories to some selected basic schools at Ahenkro, Denase and Boaman in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region.

The donation forms part of the government’s agenda to enhance teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the district.

The computers were presented to the schools by the Mp on behalf of the government ,adding that digitisation has become the new world order.

Speaking to Onua news in an interview, The MP Hon. Collins Adomako said, Students must use digitisation as a tool to improve Internally Generated Funds (IGF) ICT is now the tool for education.

“There must be judicious use of scarce resources for efficient customer service delivery to our people”,

350 desktop computers and laptops have been donated so far to seven basic schools in my Constituency” he said.

The Chief of Ahenkro traditional council Nana Ahenekro-osei || who received the computers on behalf of the schools, expressed gratitude to the government.

According to him, the computers have come at the right time and would be used for the purposes intended which is to improve teaching of ICT in the schools.

He therefore appealed to the Member of Parliament to complete some abandoned projects at St. Micheal Senior high school.
