A/R: Oforikrom M/A Block A JHS Class of ’97 Gives Back to Alma Mater.

Oforikrom M/A block A JHS student in the Ashanti Region has presented six white marker boards as part of their efforts to give back to their alma mater.

The donation by the 1997-year group included six white marker boards, six boxes of markers, and 20 football jersey pieces to improve conductive learning in the school.

Handing over the items, the treasurer of the group, Mr. Charles Amankwaah, disclosed that the reason behind the donation is to produce well-prepared students to make a positive impact, transform their societies, and help build the nation as a whole.

 

 

“This is the power of coming together, and I enjoin all past and present students of the school to learn from the little we have done and come together to better the learning experience of present and coming students of the school,” Mr. Charles said.

He added that, even though they completed the school 26 years ago, they still need to contribute to shaping them into what they have become in society, and therefore they see it as a duty to give back to the school.

The Oforikrom Municipal Educational Director, Mrs. Dorithy Opare Baidoo, also thanked the class of 97 and commended the executives and stakeholders of the school for making basic education accessible to the children of Oforikrom M/A block A JHS.

Speaking at the colorful ceremony held at the school premises, Hon. Ofori Joshua, who is the Assembly member for Oforikrom West electoral area, said the support shows the commitment of the class of 97 to ensure that students in his electoral area are supported at every stage of the educational ladder to realize their potential.

 

 

 

He, therefore, advises the pupils to practice maintenance culture and also take their studies seriously since they are the future leaders.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the headmaster expressed appreciation to the class of 97 for the kind gesture and promised to motivate the teachers to do their best to ensure the children benefit from the donation.
