2022 National Service Personnel (NSP) are threatening a demonstration against government if it fails to increase their monthly stipends for them.
According to the personnel, the paltry GH₵559.00 they receive does not commensurate their expenses for the current economic conditions, asking government to make an upward adjustment to the allowance.
Some flyers made by the personnel on social media say “the state of the economy is unbearable, the NSS allowance must be increased.”
Others are also asking: “How do we survive with 559gh a month in this economy?.”
