The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and his NPP government have been advised to refrain from doing things that will end in disgrace. This call comes on the back of the recent cutting of sod for the Kumasi Suame Interchange project.

According to Very Reverend Jubilant Boakye Danquah, a former Chaplain of the U.S military hospital, a former minister of the Methodist church and also Senior Citizen, the president must rather use the supposed fund for another project that’s less time bound and money managing.

Comparing the Suame Interchange to the Sofoline Interchange, the worried statesman and NPP sympathiser revealed that even the Sofoline Interchange which is not up to the current Suame project has taken 14 years without completion where he indicated that there is no way the Suame Interchange can be completed under two years as seemed to have been suggested by the NPP government.

He additionally revealed that there was the current economic crisis is a clear indication that there’s no money to finance the project. He is therefore urging the government to use the small money he has for another less cost road project.

Reverend J.B Danquah is also urging President Akuffo Addo to sack his cousin, Ken Ofori Atta from office since he is not the only wise person in the NPP government.

He said, adamant to retain the finance minister in office will derail Ghana from getting access to the competent professors who may be in the best position to redeem the state from sinking.

He said statements within certain circles that the Ashanti Region had been starved of development projects were untrue.

The Suame Interchange project, which is in fulfilment of a pledge the President made during a tour of the Ashanti Region last year, will consist of a four-tier interchange at the current Suame Roundabout, with overpasses at the Abrepo, Krofrom, Anomangye, Magazine New Road and Abusuakruwa junctions.

It will be the first four-tier interchange in the Ashanti Region and the second in the country, after the Pokuase Interchange in the Greater Accra Region.

Construction of the interchange will be undertaken by M/S Grupo Dizmar of Spain and Rango Construction Limited, a Ghanaian company, while the complementary road component will be undertaken wholly by a Ghanaian firm, Rango Construction Company Limited, with supervision of the entire project being the responsibility of the Ministry of Roads and Highways, through the Department of Urban Roads.
