CAF U23 Qualifiers: Ghana vs Mozambique – Match Preview, Team News And Starting XI

The Black Meteors will square off with Mozambique at the Baba Yara Stadium in the second leg of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers

The target heading into this epic clash will definitely be one, as both countries will set sights on nothing but cruising into the third phase of the qualifiers.

Ghana were excused in the first round but the Junior Mambas however completed an audacious 5-1 on aggregate victory over Mauritius to advance into this stage.

The first leg of this tie was honoured last week in Maputo, and it was the Meteors who ended up victorious with a 1-2 victory, thanks to Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s second half brace all coming from the spot-kick.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his men touched down in Ghana on Tuesday and proceeded to Kumasi to get themselves well prepared and poised for the game.

However, their Mozambican counterparts have arrived in the country looking poised for the game and will hope to pull an upset today.
