Naked Photos In Abuja, & More Revelations; Rawlings Family To Release His Book After ‘Heavy’ Editing

The Family of Ghana’s longest-serving Head of State, Jerry John Rawlings is preparing to release his book titled “The Triumph of Evil” after subjecting the original book to heavy editing.

The book chronicles key activities and relationships developed during his tenure as President and leader of Ghana.

The book titled “The Truimph Of Evil” also named and exposed some senior figures in the National Democratic Congress(NDC) who worked closely with Rawlings but whom he named in the book as manipulators who used him and “the system to amass wealth for themselves and family”.

Rawlings did not spare the Ahwoi family in particular, naming them one after the other with specific allegations.

The Rawlings family has been seeking legal advice and consulting various writers and editors about the publication of the book which is expected to be controversial.

Writing about former President Kufuor in the book, Rawlings accused his successor of allegedly taking naked pictures of him in Abuja and circulated the same among some circles, sighting ex-Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo as a witness.

Sources told this portal the family is editing the book as some of the facts under reference have since changed following his passing.

Family sources say the book and its content may be used for “NPP, NDC politics by some persons ahead of the next election if the release is not managed”.

Before his death, Rawlings was due to release the book but was reportedly preempted by Prof Kwamena Ahwoi’s “Working With Rawlings”.

The Ahwoi book chronicled his working relationship with Rawlings and gave an insight into what working with him was like.

Rawlings said the claims in the book are manufactured by the Ahwoi’s to tarnish his hard-won reputation as a former President.

Mr. Rawlings died at the age of 73 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra on November 12, 2020. His final burial rites were held on January 24 to 27.
