The global launch of the 2023 Golden Boy Award by TuttoSport took place in Milan, Italy on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 with players from 33 different countries represented — 19-year old from Asafo, Kumasi was included.
In the 2022/23 Danish Superliga season, Ernest Nuamah starred throughout the campaign with an explosive performance and came close to leading his club FC Nordsjaelland to lift the title.
Despite missing out on the league title, the 19-year-old scored twelve goals and provided four assists after making 30 appearances.
Nuamah has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe and linked with a move away from the Right to Dream Park outfit following his amazing display in the just-ended season.
He picked three awards in Denmark namely Young Player of the Years, the Spring Best Player award (chosen by the Superliga head coaches) and the Player of the Year award (voted by the Superliga players).
Following his explosive performance at FC Nordsjaelland in the just ended season, Ghana head coach Chris Hughton named Ernest Nuamah in Ghana’s 24-man squad list for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar on June 18.
He climbed off the bench to make his debut for the senior national team of Ghana.
Nuamah becomes the third player from Ghana and the Right to Dream Academy to earn a spot in the Golden Boy Award after Kudus Mohammed in 2021 and Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana last year.
