Kumasi Asante Kotoko Head Coach Seydou Zerbo has lost his 10-year old son Zerbo Faical Mamadou on Tuesday in his native country Burkina Faso, the club has announced.
“Our head Coach Seydou Zerbo has lost his son Zerbo Faical Mamadou earlier today due to complications after a heart surgery.”
“The entire Porcupine family send our condolence and prayers to our coach and his family in this difficult period.
“The club will communicate to our fans the next line of action.”, the club stated on their official website.

Asante Kotoko management has granted Coach Seydou Zerbo a two-weeks off-duty after losing his son Zerbo Faical Mamadou.
The Head Coach will head to Burkina Faso on Wednesday, 8th March 2023 from the Kotoka International Airport.
Coach Zerbo will miss the club’s away game to Samatex FC later this month.
Assistant Coach Wellington will be in charge in the absence of the Head Coach.

The Porcupines lost to arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in a league fixture that served as the 2023 President’s Cup.
Seydou Zerbo’s side turn their attention to their next fixture in the premier league against King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, March 12.
