VIDEO: Nollywood Actor Junior Pope Is Not Dead – Emeka Rollas Confirms

Nollywood actor, Pope Obumneme Odonwodo popularly known as Junior Pope is reportedly alive following earlier news of his death.

National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas Ejezie in an Instagram post a few hours after the earlier reports about Pope’s death, said the actor is “is alive and taking treatment in the hospital.”

 

 

Pope was reported dead on Wednesday [April 10] afternoon after a boat he was travelling in capsized while returning from a movie location.

With three of his colleagues, Pope was reported dead after they were drowned in River Niger in Asaba, Delta State leading to their death.

Shortly after that, his body was deposited at a morgue but the mortuary attendant reportedly rejected the body claiming that “he was still alive.”

Filmmaker, Sam Olatunji announced on Wednesday that Junior Pope died alongside three others after their boat capsized while attempting to cross the River Anam to shoot a film.

Videos showing resuscitation attempts have also surfaced online, after a first video showing him seemingly lifeless as he was brought out of the body of water.
