Accra: Couple Injured In A Car Crash

A serious accident at Tonisco near Gomoa Potsin in the Gomoa East District on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway, a couple sustained severe injuries involving four vehicles.

The vehicles involved in the accident were a Sprinter bus, Toyota Corolla, Honda Pilot, and a Tipper truck.

According to reports, the Toyota Corolla veered off its lane after experiencing a burst tyre. It then collided with the back tyre of the Tipper truck, causing subsequent collisions with the other vehicles.

The couple, who were occupants of the Toyota Corolla, suffered serious injuries and were promptly taken to the Potsin Polyclinic for medical attention.

An eyewitness, Ebo Anderson, recounted that the Sprinter, Tipper truck, and the Honda Pilot were heading from Winneba towards Kasoa when the Corolla lost control and hit the back tyre of the Tipper truck.

This forced the Honda to collide with the Corolla and subsequently led to a collision with the Sprinter.

Authorities including the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the ambulance service responded promptly and cleared the road to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
