Blessed Godsbrain Smart, host of Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye, has alleged Thursday, September 1, 2022, that, the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), is going to be privatised.
He notes a crunch meeting was held Wednesday concerning the divestiture where some Chinese were involved.
The TOR is a state corporation which refined crude that was imported from other countries.
In December 2010, Ghana started the commercial production of crude oil from the Jubilee Oil field which produces the high grade ‘Sweet Light’ oil.
But for some time now, TOR has not been operational despite huge sums of money government has pumped into it.
