Convenor of civil movement #FixTheCountry, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has asserted a victim of the military brutalities at Ashaiman has lost his life.
He says the person died out of the sustained injuries from the beatings meted out to him.
Reports indicate he had internal bleeding in his intestines.
In a Facebook post, Barker-Vormawor, who has criticised the military for their reprisal attacks towards residents of Ashaiman for murdering one of their colleagues said “One of the Ashaiman victims has lost his life from injuries sustained.”

22-year-old Imoro Sherrif was murdered at Taifa, a suburb of Ashaiman on the dawn of Saturday, March 4, 2023.
The young officer according to his mother, Afia Kyeraa, was returning from a friend’s house when he was stabbed multiple times and bled to death.
On Tuesday, March 7, a group of military men stormed the vicinity on a reprisal attack brutalising anyone they came across including others whose privacies were invaded and fished out for their share of the beatings.
Some 184 persons were taken away by the soldiers some of whom were detained.
Subsequently, the Ghana Police Service in special intelligence-led operations arrested six persons.
The six who were arrested between March 9 – 12, at different locations appeared before the Ashaiman Circuit Court.
According to the police, two of the accused persons attacked the soldier, stabbed him in the arm and bolted with his phone.
The other four are alleged to have bought the phone of the deceased after it was stolen.
In court on Monday, lawyer for the four who are alleged to have bought the phone prayed the court to grant his clients bail as they cannot be linked with the robbery nor the alleged killing.
But the prosecution opposed the bail application claiming that the accused persons have no permanent place of abode.
The judge after considering the case remanded the four accused persons together with the other two into prison custody to reappear on March 27, 2023.
