TVET Will Do Away With The High Unemployment Rate In The Country – Deputy Director Of TVET.

The Deputy Director-General of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Mr. David Prah has said that the TVET program will reduce unemployment in the country.
According to him, the TVET program is training students based on technical and vocational jobs that are highly in demand so the employability of the youth will be easier once they complete their academic term and graduate.

He said the program has added entrepreneurship skills for students to be creative in their learned field to make finished products that meet the demands and standards of the market for patronization.

 

Mr. David Prah added that the government has brought the YouStart initiative and the TVET voucher program to support those in the Technical-vocational field with funds and resources to start up their business so that those who graduate will benefit.

Speaking to Ahenkan FM’s “Maakye Morning show host Obuoba Ofori Amanfo, he [Mr. David Prah] urged TVET graduates to be honest in their dealings with good conduct when they get into business so that people can benefit from it and also appreciate the importance of the initiative.

He said this will help sustain the initiative and bring success to it which will reflect in the Ghanaian society.
