SHS Graduate With 4A’s & 4B’s Unable To Further Her Education Because Of Financial Difficulties

The hope of a 21yrs old Ola Girl’s Senior High School graduate unable to continues her education to become a medical doctor hangs in the balance due to financial difficulties.

Mrs Afia Mary, the daughter of a plam-oil worker, passed her West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2021 with 4A1s and 3B2s plus 1B3, but serious financial challenges are affecting her dream of becoming a medical doctor.

She scored A1 in Physics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Mathematics and a B2 in Chemistry, Biology, Elective Mathematics and plus a B3 in English Language.

She had aggregate 16 in her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2018 from the Choggu Demonstration Basic School but had to spend a whole first team at home before attending Ola Girl’s Senior High School in the Ahafo Region.

 

She added that because of her mother financial difficulties she travelled to continues her Basic Education with one of her father family member at Temale in Northern Region.

Azore Esther Akeuntensah told Nana Nyarko the Supreme Newspaper Correspondent that, she really want to become medical doctor but looking at the financial situation, she have decided to help her mother on plam-oil work business to help her junior brother’s and sister’s to complete their Basic Education.

 

 

 

 

She therefore appealing to everybody especially the president of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, minister of education lead by Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, their member of parliament for Asunafo North Hon. Evans Bobie Opoku and Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) to support her continues her education to become a medical doctor.
