Reverence Preparatory and JHS Crowned Northern Sector Champions of Perfect Series Contest.

Reverence Preparatory School and JHS has emerged victorious in the Northern Sector semi-finals of the Perfect Series Basic School Assessment Contest, securing a place in the national finals scheduled to take place in Accra.

The keenly contested event was held at Kumasi Anglican Senior High School in the Ashanti Region and brought together six outstanding schools: O.A Legacy International School, Reverence Preparatory School and JHS, Eldia Montessori School, Bosomtwe STEM Academy, Unique Educational Complex, and Konadu Educational Complex.

At the end of the competition, Reverence Preparatory and JHS topped the table with an impressive 378.5 points.

They were closely followed by Unique Educational Complex, who scored 377 points, while Eldia Montessori School secured third place with 368.5 points.

Konadu Educational Complex placed fourth with 341 points, O.A Legacy International School came fifth with 329.5 points, and Bosomtwe STEM Academy finished sixth with 325.5 points.

For their outstanding performance, Reverence Preparatory and JHS received a cash prize of GHC 6,000, along with gold medals, certificates, a plaque, a trophy, and other rewards. Unique Educational Complex, as first runner-up, took home GHC 4,000, silver medals, certificates, a plaque, and a trophy. Eldia Montessori School, placing third, was awarded GHC 3,000, bronze medals, certificates, a plaque, and a trophy.

Speaking after the event, Pastor Philip Sarpong, Chief Executive Officer of Perfect Star Media, organisers of the contest, expressed his satisfaction with the level of competition displayed.

He noted that this year’s contest showed significant improvement compared to previous editions and emphasised that the performance of the students reflects a promising future for Ghana’s educational sector.

Following the Northern Sector contest, attention now shifts to the Southern Sector competition to be held in Accra, where three more schools will qualify to join the finalists for the national championship.

Dr Mrs Rebecca Essel, a Senior Lecturer at KNUST who graced the occasion, commended the organisers for their professionalism and the smooth organisation of the event.

Mr Caleb Agyapong Boadu, facilitator of the winning school, also lauded the organisers and highlighted the impact of the contest’s “Critical Thinking” component.

According to him, the exercise has significantly enhanced both students’ and teachers’ analytical abilities, helping them better understand and approach academic challenges.
