Property Tax Is Not Supposed To Pay The Government – Mr Andrews Owusu Fumes.

Governance and Political Analyst ,Mr Andrews Owusu has bemoaned about how the property tax is now paid to the government of Ghana.

According to him, the property tax is suppose to paid to the District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies to support the assemblies activities but not the government.

He said, property tax is income from IGF use to generate fund for the district,Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies to support their activities.

Mr Owusu blamed the local government minister, Hon Dan Botwe for allowing the government to receiving the property tax which suppose not be so.

He therefore appealing to the government to allow the assemblies to collect the property tax because it even collapsing some of the assemblies business especially the district assemblies.
