The Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford has assured her constituents of her resolve to facilitate the development of the constituency and the welfare of constituents.
Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford pledged to use the four year mandate entrusted to her as MP to make sure resources are distributed fairly and equitably, stressing, parochial divisive partisanship will not be considered in her administration.
The MP gave the assurance when the executive body of the party in the constituency including the MCE, and herself undertook a week thank you tour and also to learn at firsthand, what the immediate needs of her constituents are and help to fast track strategies in resolving them.
The MP observed bad roads, electricity, water, sanitation and jobs for the youths are the core problems facing the people of the area.
She indicated that plans were already in motion to get some of these needs immediately resolved.
Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford indicated the reshaping of truck roads within the constituency to make them convenient for the people.
Meanwhile, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford donated 800pcs of street lights, 300 asbestos roofing sheets (Slates), 400 bags of cement in the constituency.
She urged them to pray and thank the Almighty God for the peace, unity, security and harmony in the constituency since without such values development in the area would stall and impoverish the people.
She reiterated the need for constituents not to be discouraged by challenges but show determination, dedication and commitment to improve their livelihoods towards the development of the constituency and further assured them of continous collaboration and work together to improve livelihoods and create wealth in the constituency and their welfare.
