On Wednesday, 15th March, 2023, fire garted some parts of Kejetia market which has took the media airwaves across the country. Luckily enough, the issue took place in the day time and measures were put in place to quench the fire.
The regional minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah has ordered that the market is closed for three days for investigations to be carried on the matter.
Mr. Jones Anyamesem, constituency secretary for the ruling NPP in Kwabre East indicated that he suspects investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on that matter and that he needs to be investigated on his possible hand in the fire outbreak.
His argument was that he wonders why fire gartered the Kumasi Kejetia market on the same Kennedy Agypong won a case against him. And in the verdict, he was described as an investigative terrorist by the court. To him, Anas might have done that to create another news that will cover the shame on him as an investigative terrorist. Anas sets high profile people up, takes videos of them and demands money from them. He does not bring out all the videos that he covers.

He only brings out videos on people who are not able to pay the money he charges.
This can be a well calculated plan of Anas to burn the Kumasi Kejetia just to divert attention for him not be discussed in the media as an investigative terrorist.
According to Anyamesem, once Anas has been exposed as an investigative terrorist, he should be seen as a dangerous character who should not be toyed with. ‘Terrorist should not be condoned and I am convinced that a forensic investigation on him will bring out some hidden truths about his schemes’.
