Ghana Needs Technocrats To Propel The Development Of The Economy – NPP Leading Member

The 21st Century and the effect of Covid-19 pandemic have seen rapid changes in technology and lifestyle of people globally. The impacts of global changes has affected all spheres of lives, including interactions, socialization, understanding and even administers or governance.

 

Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin (Nsawkawdehyeɛ), the Proprietor for Star of Africa Montessori Academy and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has opined the merit of the including technocrats to governance.

He said, bringing on technocrats to governance will propel the most significant policy decisions to position the development of the country’s economy.

 

The NPP guru reiterated that the involvement of technocrats will technically add skilled and competency to laid the basis for expansion, without losing sight of social distribution of developmental projects and administrative justice.

 

In an interview with Appiah Kubi, on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show, Mr. Afful indicated that greater participation of technocrats in the steering wheel of governance is needed to ensure the tech-driven approach to become the hallmark of Ghana’s policy formulation and implementations.

He commented the Nana Addo led NPP government on indicatives of the fact that the government is making efforts in the right direction, despite the global economic challenges.

“A dedicated civil service for constrictive ideas would encourage better innovation and implementations of solutions to the country’s economic menaces”, he stated.
