The Chairman for Eastern Regional Football Association and Chairman for  Kotoku Royals, Mr Linford Asamoah Boadu  believes the Black Stars can excel at the upcoming World Cup.

Mr Linford, who is also committee chairman for Ghana Black Princess  has backed the team to disprove the doubters in Qatar, where they will face Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay in the group stage.

Given their recent form, Ghana are the least likely of the four teams in Group H to advance.

In their last four matches, the Black Stars have only won once, against Nicaragua.

They were beaten by Brazil last month. Before that, they lost heavily to Japan and drew with Chile in the Kirin Cup.

“we have players but we do not have a team and our organisation is poor. The technical team can improve things ahead by assembling early for preparations toward the world cup.

Nobody believed Ghana will have a slot in the World cup yet we beat Nigeria to it so lets be hopeful of success ahead” he said.

“it is all about preparations and so far with the friendlies Ghana have played the coaches must be in a position to do a proper evaluation.” Mr Linford , said on Akyem Aboabo based  Ahenkan FM in an interview with the Sports Head, Joshua Kwabena Agyenim.

He also emphasized that Black Stars coach Otto Addo must get things right.

The coaches should be able to identify areas, where they think, must be strengthened, it could be new call-ups or getting other friendly games to correct the mistakes they have identified. It is not going to be easy, it takes hard work.”

“By having the right focus, atmosphere, and support from all Ghanaians, I believe we can progress.”

Ghana’s first match is against Portugal, followed by a match against South Korea before the much-anticipated match against Uruguay.
