“Education is my top priority,” – Queen Mother Of Boaman.

The Queen mother of Boaman Traditional Council, Nana Akua Pokuaa has reiterated the importance of education to the development of the country with a call on parents and guardians to make education of their wards a priority.

She highlighted that government is committed in developing the human resource base of the country through provision of educational infrastructures.

The Queen Mother made this known during a launch of Boaman Home-Coming celebration at Boaman in the Afigya Kwabre North District in the Ashanti Region.

She observed that, education is a key and an indispensable tool for accelerated socio-economic development of any nation and therefore appealed to stakeholders, NGO’s and natives in diaspora assist her build a Computer Lab for effective teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in her community.

Nana Akua Pomah added that equipping her people with ICT is one type of education that will equip them with knowledge and skills to meaningful lives in this complex world.

She advised students to take their studies serious.

“Education is very prudent and every child must take his/her education serious in the country,” she said.

The National Security Minister Hon. Albert Kan-Dapaah who is a native of Boaman also assured the Traditional Council that government is committed to support their developmental project and their ICT initiative.

According to him, building of ICT Center will help improve education in the community.
