The National Democratic Congress leadership in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency has held a ceremony to welcome seventy five people from Akyem Manso who claimed to be card bearing members of the New Patriotic Party but have defected to join NDC to help win power in 2024 elections due to bad governance and hardship.
Some of the defected NPP members explained that the leadership of NPP in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency has disappointed them after promising them heaven but are leaving in hell under the current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s failed government.
They added that they were promised job opportunities during the 2016 and 2020 campaign by the leadership of NPP in the constituency but hasn’t come to pass and even those who were lucky to get job have to pay certain amount of money before they were offered jobs hence they are going to work assiduously for NDC to come back into power to rescue them.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Ahimah who is a former Cadre but now Asene Akroso Manso constituency chairman hopeful welcoming the defected NPP members into NDC party expressed his excitement in their brilliant decision taken to help rescue the country in 2024 and also pleaded with the party delegates to help elect him to hold the chairmanship position in order to use his experience gained in Ghanaian politics to help win the constituency MP seat for NDC.
