The Director-General of Ghana Education Service; Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amakwa as part of ensuring students adequate preparation towards the West Africa Senior High School Certificate Education (WASSCE) in the various Senior High schools in the Eastern region has visited schools such as Aperade SHS, Achiase SHS, Oda Senior High School, Wenchi Salvation Army SHS, Takworase SHS, among others in the Oda enclave.
He presented 20 past questions text books each to all the Senior High Schools he visited and encouraged final year students to learn and prepare well for the WASSCE in order to bring home excellent results to their parents and the entire country.
The assistant headmaster of Achiase SHS; Mr. Eric Obisi Osei speaking to the media concerning food storage in Senior High Schools revealed that food commodities have now been brought into the school so students do not have problem on food shortage as been head from other schools in the country.
He further added that although the nationwide strike action by teachers has had impact on the final year students but they are really preparing hard towards their WASSCE.
The headmaster of Oda Senior High School (ODASCO); Mr. Evans Boafo also revealed to the media that they do not have problem with shortage of food commodities for students and their final year students are preparing adequately for their final year WASSCE.
