A leading figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has sparked conversation with a thought-provoking Facebook post questioning certain actions taken under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.
In his post, COKA expressed difficulty in comprehending some decisions made during Mahama’s tenure, hinting at the possibility that someone may have been leveraging the President’s authority to engage in undemocratic practices.
“I can’t understand some decisions taken in the name of the Presidency. Is it possible someone used the President’s name and power to pursue personal or political interests?” he wrote.

His remarks have since stirred debate within political circles, as many view them as a veiled warning against the abuse of executive power and the need for stronger safeguards to protect Ghana’s democratic institutions.
Given his influence in the NPP, COKA’s statement is expected to further ignite conversations about leadership accountability and transparency in governance.
