The Aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Chairman COKA, has called on Christians to dedicate themselves to serving humanity with humility and courage, regardless of their positions in society.

Speaking on Palm Sunday at Miracle Gospel Church at Adako Jachie, Chairman COKA emphasised that true Christian leadership is rooted in humility.
He noted that whether one is a priest, minister of state, president, or traditional leader, the essence of Christianity lies in serving others selflessly.
He explained that Palm Sunday, which commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem ahead of His crucifixion, serves as a powerful reminder of humility and sacrifice.

According to him, Jesus Christ, though King and God, chose to live among humanity as a servant, demonstrating a life of peace and obedience without seeking earthly recognition.
Chairman COKA highlighted that Christ’s kingship was not based on worldly power but on His influence in the hearts of people, having delivered mankind from sin, death, and the power of the devil, while offering eternal life.

He further pointed out that Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on a donkey symbolised peace and humility, virtues that Christians must emulate in their daily lives.
He stressed that if the majority of Ghanaians who profess Christianity would genuinely practise Christ-like values, the nation would experience significant transformation.
He added that Ghana is richly blessed with natural and human resources, and it is the responsibility of citizens to live faithfully and uprightly to fully benefit from these blessings.

Chairman COKA also encouraged Christians who are passionate about the work of God to remain steadfast and courageous, even in the face of criticism and opposition. He urged them to trust in God and persevere, drawing inspiration from Christ’s bold and victorious entry into Jerusalem.
He concluded by reiterating the significance of Palm Sunday on the Christian calendar, describing it as the beginning of a defining moment in the life of Jesus Christ and a symbol of victory, humility, and unwavering faith.
