Tamale City managed to come from a goal down to record a 2-1 home win over Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League match-week eight clash at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
The first half of the game couldn’t produce any goal despite being an entertaining 45 minutes of Aduana Stars enjoying majority of the game possession.
In the second half, Aduana Stars continued their impressive performance to register the opener before the hour-mark.
On the 53rd minute, Bright Adjei notched up the lead for Aduana Stars after connecting a pass from Kwame Adom Frimpong.
After the hour-mark, Tamale City looked poised and dangerous with their display as they piled up pressure on the visitors to secure all the needed points with two quick goals.
Former Karela United attacker Sampson Eduku climbed off the bench to score the equalizer for Tamale City from a close range on the 73rd minute of the game.
Tamale United kept tormenting the back line of Aduana Stars as they were in search for the match-winner before the final whistle.
Young forward Isaac Mensah grabbed all the three maximum points for Tamale City after brilliantly converting a spot-kick awarded to them on the 85th minute of the game.
After match-week 8, Tamale City remains seventh position despite the win while Aduana Stars occupies the first spot with 16 points as the Ghana Premier League go on break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
