A four-classroom block of the Ahenkro D/A primary School in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region has been destroyed by last night rainstorm.
The pupils who were expected to return to school could not use the classrooms as the roofs of Primary four and five had been completely ripped up making it unsuitable for academic work.
When Akoma News visited the school, it observed that the facial boards and the wood used in roofing the building had been destroyed posing danger to pupils and teachers.
Authorities and management of the school therefore appealed to the government, Non-Governmental Organisations and philanthropists among others to assist in the school to enable the pupils to learn.
Mr Eric Oppong,School management Chairman of the school told Akoma News that the situation needed immediate attention.
Some of the pupils also share their ordeal.
According to them,if nothing is done as soon as possible, the management of the school might ask them to sit under tress.
