The Chief Executive Officer of Odi Media Network and Afrakoma Community Hospital, Mr Bright Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah has emphasized that he has the Kotoku Royals FC at heart and has pledged that he would do all it takes to support the fixing of the Akyem Oda Sports Stadium for approval from the continent’s governing body of Ghana Football (GFA, NSA).
The management of the Newly promoted Ghana Premier League (GPL) club, Kotoku Royals earlier made a bold declaration of constructing the home ground of the club’s stadium (Akyem Oda sports stadium) before the next season will start with the able support of the club’s huge fanbase.
On this appeal from the club management, Mr Bright Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah, On Saturday, August 27th 2022, presented an amount of Gh¢ 51,000 to support the ongoing Akim Oda Sports Stadium Renovation Project.
He detailed that, the donation came from himself with the support from his colleagues and philanthropists in Akyem Oda enclave.
“We work and live here. It is our responsibility to maintain the infrastructure of lifestyle here. This stadium is as organic as it gets.”
He also advocated for a stakeholder approach to rehabilitate the Stadium.
During the presentation of the cash to the constructor of the project at the studio’s of Akyem Aboabo based Ahenkan FM, Mr Odi Ahenkan intimated that he is ready to rally colleagues who support Kotoku Royals to contribute towards the construction of the club’s home grounds stadium.
However, he was quick to point out that, the management of the club should be transparent enough with the funds given them towards the intended purpose of its contribution.
He acknowledged the development of football in the country hence questioning the decision to invest resources into the construction of a new sporting facility.
“The management of the Kotoku Royals FC would like to thank Mr. Bright Odi-Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah the Chief Executive Officer for Odi Media Network and other contributors for its thoughtful and generous donation to our construction fund,” Okatakyie Afrifa Public Relations Officer for club said.
“We are excited to incorporate the funds into our construction project to provide the best game experience for our club – athletes and fans. We are fortunate and grateful for the support .” he added
