A pregnant woman and her two children have been burnt to death after fire razed their home at Ohwim in Bantama constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The inferno occurred on Monday, August 15, at about 11pm when the family was asleep in their room.
The four including the baby in the womb were burnt beyond recognition as fire swept through their apartment, which housed six people including a tenant.
Nadjat, SHS student and a daughter of the deceased was able to escape death while other two tenants was not around by the time the incident happened.
The woman, 37 years, has been identified as Akua Philomena.
The children are 9-year and 7-year old Donald and Junior respectively.
The Assembly member of the area Hon. Ebo Morrison told pressers that the fire engulfed the whole house not leaving anything behind.
Residents in the area suspect foul play since similar incident has happened in the same house months ago by an unknown people.
The daughter who was able to escaped is assisting police in investigation.
The charred bodies of the deceased persons have also been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The main cause of the fire is yet to be known.
