Dr. Bawumia Will Win NPP Presidential Candidate Race With 75% Vote- George Kwarteng

A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Kwarteng,has predicted a win for the vice-President of Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the NPP in the 2024 elections as the Flagbearer.

Sharing his thoughts on the upcoming national delegate conference on Movement In The Morning Political Show Mr. Kwarteng affirmed that Dr. Bawumia is in the lead to succeed President Akufo-Addo as flagbearer for the NPP.

“It’s like every member of the party knows who becomes the next flagbearer, there’s no contest. I can promise you that what happened in 2008 will not recur- when you ask any member of the party, and If you’ve followed this conversation you will know it didn’t start today”, he stated.

Adding that, ” the contest started right after the 2020 elections. It’s clear that it’s one individual who will emerge as the Presidential candidate and that is Dr. Bawumia. He’s winning with a clear margin of 70 to 75%”.

 

The race for the NPP Flagbearership going into the 2024 general election has become topical in recent months with Dr. Bawumia and Alan being tipped as front runners.
