ECG To Public: Purchase of Electricity Credits Interrupted

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says its team of engineers have successfully fixed technical challenges that disrupted payments for top-up power credit in many parts across the country.

According to a statement issued by ECG this afternoon, access has been restored in five of the 10 operational regions affected.

 

These are Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Western and Volta regions.

 

It has since urged customers in the areas where the technical challenge has been rectified to visit District offices to purchase electricity.

The statement added “customers should please note that our team is working to restore the systems in the affected areas including Kumasi and Tema as well as the 3rd party vending centres and the Mobile App.

Meanwhile some customers in Greater Accra are still complaining about difficulties.

ECG however says they should keep trying and has assured the public its till working to resolve the challenges in the other areas affected.

The difficulty which has persisted in ten operational areas namely Volta, Kumasi, Accra, Takoradi, Tema, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Winneba, Swedru, Koforidua, Nkawkaw, and Tafo since Monday.
