The Logist Group Company Limited, a government-mandated firm spearheading land reclamation efforts in the Amansie Central District, has extended a gesture of solidarity to the Muslim community in Kumasi by donating assorted food items to the Kumasi Central Mosque in support of the holy month of Ramadan.

The company, currently engaged in reclaiming vast hectares of lands devastated by illegal mining activities, is playing a pivotal role in Ghana’s fight against environmental degradation. Tasked by the government to restore lands destroyed by galamsey operations, Logist Group has been actively rehabilitating affected areas in the Amansie Central enclave, contributing to national efforts aimed at restoring ecological balance and safeguarding livelihoods.

Beyond its environmental restoration mandate, the company demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by presenting food items including bags of rice, cooking oil, sugar, and other essential commodities to the leadership of the Kumasi Central Mosque to support Muslims observing the Ramadan fast.

Ramadan, a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and reflection in Islam, requires significant sacrifice and devotion. The support from Logist Group is expected to ease the burden on some members of the Muslim community, particularly the vulnerable, during this spiritually significant period.
Speaking during the presentation, representatives of the company emphasized that their mission goes beyond reclaiming degraded lands. According to them, true national development encompasses both environmental sustainability and community welfare.

They noted that as a corporate entity entrusted with restoring lands affected by illegal mining, the company also recognizes the importance of strengthening community bonds and promoting social harmony.
Leadership of the Kumasi Central Mosque expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing the donation as a thoughtful gesture that reflects unity and shared responsibility in nation-building.
The gesture underscores Logist Group’s broader philosophy — that restoring the land must go hand in hand with uplifting the people.
As government intensifies efforts to combat illegal mining and rehabilitate degraded ecosystems, partnerships between state institutions and socially responsible corporate actors such as Logist Group remain crucial in rebuilding both the environment and community trust.
