Bawku Conflict: Interior Ministry Reviews Curfew Following Renewed Clashes

The curfew hours in Bawku and its environs have been reviewed.

This was by the Ministry of the Interior on advice of the Upper East Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument.

The curfew was reviewed on Bawku Municipality and its environs from the current 8pm to 6am to 6pm to 6am effective Monday September 5, 2022.

The review has been as a result of threat to the security of the communities concerned.

One Mma Lale had been murdered by unknown gunmen Monday, September 5, whom the Bawku Central NPP assert was killed by virtue of her membership of the party.

She was murdered at Tinsongo, a suburb of Bawku in the early morning in the Upper East region.

In a release from the quarters of the NPP, they warmed the feuding factions not to involve the party in their conflict.
