Otumfuo Nsumankwaahene, Baffour Asabre Kogyawoasu Ababio III, has called on Ghanaians to actively support charity foundations through financial contributions, material donations, and voluntary services.
According to him, many charitable organisations in Ghana struggle to sustain their initiatives due to a lack of support, forcing them to discontinue their efforts despite their commitment to helping the underprivileged.
The Nsumankwaahene made this appeal when the founder of EKK Charity Foundation, Mr. Evans Kofi Kwafo, and his team paid him a visit ahead of a fundraising ceremony scheduled for 7th March 2025 at the Golden Bean Hotel. The event aims to raise funds to support the foundation’s charity projects.
Baffour Asabre Kogyawoasu Ababio III, who also serves as a patron for EKK Charity Foundation, commended the organisation for its impactful work in areas such as education and healthcare.
He highlighted the need for collective efforts to sustain such initiatives, noting that the foundation’s work has brought significant improvements to the lives of many people.
Speaking to the media, he shared his motivation for supporting the foundation, saying, “I decided to be a patron of EKK Charity Foundation because of their dedication to making a real difference in people’s lives. Their work in education and healthcare, among others, is commendable, and I urge all well-meaning Ghanaians to support them in any way they can.”
The upcoming fundraising ceremony is expected to attract various stakeholders, including corporate bodies, individuals, and philanthropists, to contribute towards the sustainability of the foundation’s humanitarian activities.
EKK Charity Foundation has many years supported people by giving our scholarships, capitals, school building and community support, amongst others.
