Gyataba’s UFP Ditches Mahama, Endorses Bawumia.

The United Front Party (UFP) has officially declared its support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the upcoming general elections. The announcement was made by the leader of the UFP, Nana Agyenim Boateng, who emphasized the alignment of Dr. Bawumia’s manifesto, ideas, and policy initiatives with the values and goals of the UFP.

According to Nana Agyenim Boateng, the decision was made after carefully analyzing the manifestos of various political parties. He expressed that Dr. Bawumia’s vision for the country and the initiatives proposed by the NPP struck a chord with the UFP leadership.

He also pointed out that the NPP’s social intervention programs have greatly benefited the nation, making it clear that the UFP sees a future in continued NPP governance.

In light of this, the UFP has withdrawn from its own political ambitions and decided to throw its full weight behind the NPP. “After deep consultation and reflection, we have decided not to pursue our presidential bid and instead focus on supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to emerge victorious in the general elections,” Nana Boateng added.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen and my dear friends from the media.

The United Front Party (UFP) has invited you here to announce a very important decision to you and to start a new conversation on the country’s development.

In this regard we wish to thank you for accepting our invitation and actually making time to attend. We are truly grateful and do appreciate your attendance.

We recall several statements previously made by myself and other members of UFP as well as our previous announcement to contest for the presidency in the December 7 elections.

We have had to reflect quite seriously on our positions and are happy to let you know that the UFP have deeply considered matters of national interests and wish to share with you our findings and, consequently, new directions the party intends embarking upon.

The Leadership of UFP has taken time to study the various manifestos, policy statements,

vision and development agenda of all the major political parties. After weeks of intensive deliberations, we have finally reached a clear conviction that the vision and development plan for this country as have been presented by Dr Bawumia and the NPP are in alignment with ours.

We have also examined Dr Bawumia’s personal values and are now entrenched in our belief that his presidency would yield both economic prosperity and discipline to our dear nation of Ghana.

We have gone round the country and are now witnesses to the massive development of infrastructure and the positive impact on lives as a result of social interventions delivered during the past 8 years of Akufo Addo and Bawumia government. The country would benefit immensely from continuation of these policies and initiatives.

Consequently, we have decided to step down our ambitions and rather focus on assisting Dr Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party to win the next general elections and offer the country the transformational leadership so necessary at this time.

Ladies and Gentlemen and the press we wish to urge all other political persuasions to consider reviewing their agenda and take decisions and actions which will promote peace and orderly development of the country rather than embarking on politically motivated and violent actions and disruptive policies.

We wish our dear country Ghana safe and strong.

We are grateful to you all for coming and for your attention as well.

THANK YOU.
